The agriculture groups discovered hundreds of thousands of locust that had been touchdown from India in Cholistan, the agriculture officers instructed The News on Friday. The Agriculture Department has started locust killing marketing campaign touchdown in bulk in Cholistan Desert due to failure of Indian authorities in combating with the pests. The agriculture groups had seen locust in teams while 68,740 hectares space within the Cholistan had been surveyed whilst 4,100 hectare area were sprayed with anti-locust pesticides.
