President, Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation (Passco) Employees Union, Rana Latafat, has urged the government to immediately post some competent officer as Managing Director Passco, as the office is lying vacant for long. He made the demand while addressing a seminar on ‘safety of labourers’ held at Lahore Press Club here on Monday. The seminar was also addressed by President Awami Worker Party Tariq Farooq and others. 
Passco Employees Union President alleged that illegal recruitments were made during the interim regime in the organisation on a large scale and the government should immediately declare all such appointment void. He also demanded that the contract employees should be regularised at the earliest. Tariq Farooq demanded that all the army officers posted in the Passco should be sent back to their barracks so that they could protect the frontiers which was their prime duty.
