    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
    “To further strengthen the Technical services to Tobacco Farmers with
    effective Trainings & extension services by these Junior Agronomists.
    These Junior Agronomist will supervise Field Technicians (FTs) to
    ensure PMI Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) & Agriculture Labor
    Practices(ALP) with more control & monitoring at farm level.”

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    “Supervise and Plan Agronomy activities of Field Technicians (FTs) i.e.
    make weekly farmers visit plan for FTs, ensure implementation and
    follow-up.”
    “Conduct trainings of Field Technicians & Farmers on PMI GAP & PMI ALP
    code compliance.”
    “Implement Agronomy STP (Sustainable Tobacco Production) Projects with
    Contracted farmers through FTs.”
    “Ensure that FTs collect tobacco and major competitive crops’s cost of
    production and submit to Agronomist for analysis.”
    “Conduct Farmers meetings & Field days to dessiminate PMI GAP programs,
    curing, grading and baling. Create awareness among the farmers
    regarding Agriculture Labor Practices & maintain activity wise record
    as & when required.”
    “Ensure supply of Tobacco Leaf through contracted farmers as per
    allotted target. Ensure recovery of all inputs provided to the
    farmers, leaf KPIs are updated on form AG/4/033, proper supervision of
    trials/seed production plots as & when required and maintain record of
    these activities.”
    “Ensure that Tobacco meets PMI TLI proedures (CPA MRL)and Other crop
    Integrity targets (NTRM,Seed Variety,TSNA etc)”
    “Supervise & verify Field Technician area activities for compliance
    with PMI GAP & ALP programs”

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
    Education:
    High/Second. School<>Control/Electronic engineer

    Work experience:
    Minimum 2 years experience in Agronomy
