A staff of national and international professionals performed 5 day training on water accounting ideas.
Responding to the urgent want and renewed interest of various stakeholders in water control, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) organized this coaching with a focal point on water accounting and auditing. The training will permit contributors to apply the obtained skills and figuring out to advertise evidence and databased coverage making in managing water to be used in the agriculture sector.

35 representatives from Ministry of Food Security and Research, Ministry of Water, Ministry of Climate Change, WAPDA, provincial irrigation departments, Crop Reporting Service, National Agriculture Research Center (NARC), Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) attended this training.

The training highlighted the significance of water accounting which lays down the basis for higher water governance. This is essential to resolving the water disaster in Pakistan because it can give sound, reliable knowledge, which is able to information the considered management of water sources.

Mr Farrukh Toirov, Deputy FAO Representative in Pakistan expressed FAO commitment to offering technical experience incorporating the most recent to be had generation for higher management of water in Pakistan to verify sustainable agriculture.
